Do you have an Instant Pot and looking for a delicious and easy pork recipe? Then, this post is for you. My name is Catalina Castravet, and I am a professional chef, food blogger, and photographer. In this post, I will share with you two of my favorite pork recipes that you can cook in the Instant Pot. One is Instant Pot Pork Chops, and the other one is Instant Pot Pork Tenderloin.
I am a huge fan of Instant Pot and think that every home-cook should get one. It is an essential kitchen gadget that has plenty of functions. I first started using it about 4 years ago and was instantly hooked.
Firstly, it is very easy and convenient to use. Most of the recipes are ready in less than 30 minutes because they are cooked under pressure. So, it is perfect for busy families as you can quickly prepare a meal during the busy weekdays. Also, you do not need to spend much time in the kitchen. All you have to do is prepare the ingredients, dump them in the pot, and close the lid. The IP will do the rest, and you will be rewarded with a delicious and flavorful meal at a fraction of the time.
In our family, we eat a lot of pork. My son and husband love the pork chops and tenderloin, and I will share both of these recipes in this article. If you love pork or looking for a quick and delicious dinner, then I suggest you give these recipes a try.
Another benefit of the Instant Pot is that you could cook frozen meat as well. You have to increase the time by about 5 minutes, depending on how much you are cooking.

An Instant Pot is a multi-cooker that does the job of a slow cooker, electric pressure cooker, steamer, and yogurt maker. It basically cooks the ingredients under high pressure at a fraction of a traditional, over the traditional stovetop method.
As stated above, cooking pork in the Instant Pot is very convenient and quick. Compared to the traditional stovetop, or oven method, cooking meat in the Pressure Cooker is super quick and easy. Because the pork is cooked under pressure, it is cooked at a fraction of the time compared to the traditional version.
In addition, you will end up with perfectly cooked meat that is tender, moist, and juicy. The most important thing is to regulate the time when cooking under pressure. If you cook it for too long, you risk overcooking the meat. So, it is important to adjust the time accordingly.
Another benefit of cooking it under pressure is that you can cook frozen meat in it. Therefore, you do not need to wait for the pork to thaw for hours. Put it frozen in the pot, and cook. The cooking time will increase by a few minutes, but it is still way quicker than waiting for it to thaw.
You can use any cuts you like. However, I love cooking chops, tenderloin, and shoulder. They are all different cuts and work great when cooked in the pressure cooker. Feel free to rotate between them.
For exact ingredient measures, and guidelines, please see the detailed recipe here. But the general steps are the following:
1. Season the chops and saute them in the Instant Pot by using the saute function, for about 2-3 minutes on each side.
2. If you want to cook them together with potatoes, then add the peeled potatoes to the bottom of the pot.
3. Then, add the trivet on top and add the pork chops.
4. Close the lid and cook for about 20 minutes.
